Ania Moreno is a Norwegian/Mexican-American Professional Wrestler, currently operating within the Armbar Error Society. She is currently signed to Boston Armbar Deathmatch and ScrapYard, and is participating in the AES Grand Prix, all under the ring name Anette Moreno.

History

Independent circuit

Moreno began training to wrestle at 13 years of age at the Seattle Suplex Academy. At 18, she departed for England, working in Kingdom Pro for a short time before its closure. She would quickly find success in companies such as North Bound British Wrestling and Inverness Strong Style Wrestling. This caught the attention of one Teresa Pontarelli, who simultaneously trained Moreno in order to advance her development while wrestling her up and down the United Kingdom.

This would culminate in a deathmatch in June 22, 2016 for the NBBW Championship, where Moreno would get the win. Both women were hurt during this match, with Moreno leaving with a badly cut, broken nose and Pontarelli with a bloodied lip and her right eye swollen shut. Following this match, Moreno would start competing in deathmatches infrequently. Following this match, Anette would hold the NBBW Championship until January 4th, 2017, losing it to Sir Samuel Trowell.

AES Grand Prix (2017-present)

On February 16, 2017, Moreno would announce her entry into the Armbar Error Society by becoming an entrant in the first ever AES Grand Prix. She made her AES debut at Prelude to Grand Prix Episode 1, teaming with Maya Khanda in a losing effort against Micah and Camilla DeCosta in an Elimination Tag Team match. However, on Prelude to Grand Prix Episode 3, she would get a second chance at the tournament, facing her partner from night 1 in a match for immunity. She won this match, guaranteeing her a position in the round of 16.

Boston Armbar Deathmatch (2017-present)

On February 19, 2017, Moreno signed for Boston Armbar Deathmatch, joining the 16-person Blood for Gold Tournament. She faced Def Jarrett during the second half of the first round on May 27, 2017, securing her place in the quarterfinals. It would later be announced that her opponent-to-be for the semifinals, Kawada, had been injured during a match with Team DAB (GoldStorm and ), and as such she was given a bye to the semifinals, where she is set to take on the winner of Jacob Cass vs. Bobby Southside.

ScrapYard (2017-present)

On April 25, 2017, shortly after the announcement of the promotion's existence, Moreno announced she would be joining the ScrapYard roster.

Personal Life

Moreno was born to a Norwegian mother and a Mexican-American father. Her father is a successful businessman, and she grew up in relative luxury, being afforded the opportunity to being training to wrestle from quite a young age and to move to England almost as soon as she graduated high school. Despite sharing the same surname, she is of no relation to Italian-American wrestler Carl Moreno.

Moreno has stated on multiple occasions that she's fond of "poking the bear", enjoying poking fun at people to get a reaction. She supposedly means no harm by it, however, and will apologize if she's gone too far.
