A.B. Aeterno (real name unknown, born unknown) is a presumably American [citation needed] professional wrestler currently signed to the Joseph James Battle Academy and High Point Wrestling.

Early Life

Very little is known about Aeterno's life outside of wrestling. In late 2018, a fan theory circulated that Aeterno might be the current assumed identity of Douglas Cooper, a missing person who disappeared under mysterious circumstances in the 1970s, based on photographic comparisons of the two; however, this seems unlikely, as Aeterno would currently be sixty-six years old if the theory was correct.

The Douglas Cooper Theory

Douglas Cooper was an American pilot-in-training who vanished on July 10, 1973, while on a routine solo flight above the coast of Maine. His disappearance gained notoriety after the transcript of his final call to air traffic control was made public; he had made a panicked call to the ground informing officials that he was being followed by an unknown aircraft, moving impossibly fast and illuminated from beneath by four green lights. His final words to ground control were, chillingly, "It's not an aircraft." No sign of Cooper nor his plane was ever found: predictably, UFO speculation dominated any and all discussion of his case. On June 29, 2018, a post was made by user 'ConspiracyTheorist' on the online board WebSleuths comparing a photo of Cooper to photos of A.B. Aeterno at his JJBA debut; from there, the theory quickly snowballed, being posted to Twitter and Reddit and rapidly amassing hundreds if not thousands of followers. Believers point to the resemblance between the two men, as well as Aeterno's unusual strength and speed and his reticence to give interviews, as evidence for their theory.

Professional Wrestling Career

Aeterno debuted at JJBA #2 in a triumphant effort against Infinity, and won again on JJBA #5 against Heatwave Heights. He enjoyed less success in HPW, however, eliminated second by Sumi Saffron Sunshine in an eight-man battle royal that also included Tyson Tyson, Augus Roy, Adrian Wallace, Nick Silver, King Dart, and eventual winner SMONK.

Trivia

Aeterno's current theme was selected by his trainer Joseph James, who was also responsible for naming his finishing and signature moves.

Although unconfirmed, it seems likely that the name he wrestles under is a reference to the Latin expression 'ab aeterno,' meaning 'from time immemorial; from an infinitely remote point in the past.'
